The Harry Potter Series

I absolutely love the books and make it a point to re-read them at least once every year. I think the series was one of the main reasons I started reading more as a child and I will always be grateful to it for that.

The Six of Crows Duology

SoC is definitely a more recent discovery but is still a really important one! These books somehow managed to combine my favourite genres and tropes to end up with such an enjoyable duology. Each protagonist is likeable, they all have interesting back stories, it's a fantasy with a heist plot and the writing is great too. I genuinely have no complaints for it.

Howl's Moving Castle

I watched the Ghibli movie first and loved it, so of course I just had to read the book. I don't prefer either of them over the other as they both have their strengths, but they're quite different nonetheless. The book is really funny, written beautifully and I love the characters so much. I wish I could erase it from my memory whenever I want just so that I could experience for the first time again.

The Song of Achilles

Where do I begin with this one, honestly. Before I read it half of the reviews I saw for it included people crying. It was definitely heartbreaking, but not to such an extreme extent for me. I love how flowy and subtle the writing is, if that makes any sense. I think that those who've read the book will be able to somewhat understand what I'm trying to convey? Anyways, it felt effortless to read and was so immersive, both of which make it an especially good book in my eyes.
